Hands-on workshop, CAT

Hands-on workshop with Gwyn Stacey at the Centre for Alternative Technology, Wales. We introduced various low-impact fibres - such as hemp shiv, hemp fibre, water reed, miscanthus and buddleja- and binders - Prompt, NHL 3.5 and 5 and limeputty - to 50 MSc and MA students from Green Building, Ecology, Sustainability and Adaptation and Architecture courses. We discussed with the students the importance of insulators and their various properties, and had plenty of fun while working in our workshop shed.
