Historic restoration, Chelmsford

Restoration/Retrofit project with bio-based building materials, namely wood fibre insulation, hempcrete, earth/straw lath and lime plaster and render.

My task was hands-on construction work with hempcrete, placed between existing external timber frame walls, placing wood fibre insulation between existing timber structures on the gable and producing hand-drawn detail drawings with the guidance of William Stanwix.
